New Peloton Flash Challenge & Badge – Great Outdoor Challenge

Peloton has launched a new summer challenge, The Great Outdoor Challenge, running from July 1 through August 31.

The challenge rewards Peloton’s outdoor walk and run classes with a new badge, available in three tiers, and the two-month window gives members the full summer to chase them. You can opt in via the challenge page.

Here is Peloton’s official description:

“Time to take it outside! Savor the season and earn a badge to be proud of—bronze, silver, or gold—by completing 10, 15, or 25 outdoor walk or run classes by August 31. Fresh air awaits.”

The three badge tiers are:

  • Bronze – 10 classes
  • Silver – 15 classes
  • Gold – 25 classes

Classes need to be completed by August 31 to earn the badge. A social teaser adds that the qualifying workouts will range “from HIIT runs and mindful walks to extra steps classes and cool downs,” so there should be plenty of variety to pick from when the challenge kicks off July 1.

However, the challenge signup page itself notes that “any outdoor walk or run class taken on any device” should give credit towards the challenge.

The timing also lines up with Rebecca Kennedy’s HiLit+ program, which launches July 6 and runs through the summer. For this round, Rebecca recorded the program’s walks as outdoor audio classes, with a long outdoor power walk on Tuesdays and a shorter outdoor walk on Thursdays each week, both of which should count toward the challenge.

As a reminder, Peloton’s outdoor walk and run classes can also be taken indoors on the Tread and Tread+ if you would rather skip the summer heat.

As always, you can find a full list of Peloton badges on our site.
