Books by Peloton Instructors & other Peloton Books

Over the years, as interest in Peloton has grown, so have the number of books written about the company, as well as the number of books written by instructors and other people associated with the company.

Several of the Peloton instructors themselves have written books – ranging from self-help, to autobiographical, to everything in between. Every few months, a new book has been announced from a Peloton coach.

In addition, several books have been written about the company, and history of Peloton itself.

Below, we’ll list the books written by the instructors themselves – in order of date they are published. Following that, we’ll list some of the general Peloton books. Note that some links in this article are affiliate links.

One fairly constant piece of feedback we hear is that when there is an audiobook version of these books, and it is narrated by the instructor – most people feel those are well worth the listen, as the nuance of hearing the story from the instructor’s voice gives some of the sections an extra level of meaning.

Note that Christine D’Ercole and Matty Maggiacomo and Ally Love have all teased they are working on books too (it is not clear yet whether they will be published in 2024 or not) – they will be added to the “full” list below once official details are announced.

Author: Ross Rayburn

Published: January 9, 2024

From the Publisher: Lead Instructor of Yoga and Meditation for Peloton Ross Rayburn offers a new and accessible take on mindfulness and the art of meditation through the practice of introversion, which is a method of self-exploration for finding authenticity, joy, and calm in our hectic, extroverted world. As New York Times bestselling author Robin Arzon says, “Turning Inward provides the tools to befriend yourself. In sharing his mindfulness TIPs, Ross provides a path for even the most novice meditator. Herein lies many entry points back to oneself.”

Building off his popular Peloton meditation and yoga classes and his years of teaching and spiritual study, Ross Rayburn offers a new way to look at meditation. Rather than a purely esoteric practice, meditation is, Ross argues, simply “turning in,” which anyone can learn how to do through the practice of introversion. Billy Porter, award-winning actor, singer, director, composer, and playwright, commented, “Ross Rayburn is one of those rare people who understands how to help us access our inner depths. I’m proud to call him both my teacher and my friend.”

Alex Toussaint is known for his grueling workouts where he promises “to kick your ass” – yet thousands keep coming back for more. Why? Because he might be the most motivational teacher out there right now. His mantra is “Feel Good, Look Good, Do Better.” He expects more from you, and from himself. Yet so much of what he talks about is NOT about the bike.

Alex’s enthusiasm for life is infectious –“You woke up today!” “Breathe in confidence, exhale doubt.” Because Alex knows what it is like to be overlooked and undervalued, to be the underdog. He knows what it’s like to not expect the best from yourself. The child of Haitian immigrants who sacrificed so much to give him an education, he knows what it is like to be one of the few Black kids growing up in East Hampton. After a turbulent adolescence that saw him being sent to military school, Toussaint dropped out of college and was mopping floors at a gym. A few years later, he’s one of the most iconic cycling instructors on Peloton, helping thousands of users along their fitness journeys through his inspirational workouts

Author: Cody Rigsby

Published: September 12, 2023

From the Publisher: The beloved Peloton instructor chronicles his journey from small-town North Carolina to New York City stardom in an empowering story that reveals his secret to success: not taking yourself—or life—too seriously.

Cody Rigsby has a lot of opinions: Kevin is the hottest Backstreet Boy; grape jelly is a crime against nature; if you wear flip-flops in New York City, you do not love yourself. But if there is one opinion—one truth—that he holds above all others, it’s that we shouldn’t let the fear of looking stupid or being judged hold us back from living our best lives.

Cody didn’t always feel this way. In XOXO, Cody, he opens up about his journey toward accepting himself, from growing up gay and poor in the South to his migration to New York City, where he went from broke-ass dancer to fitness icon. He intimately details what it was like to lose both his father and best friend to addiction and how he began to repair his relationship with his mom as an adult. He recounts his time working at a nightclub on the Lower East Side and his decision to audition for Peloton on a whim, and dishes about competing against Sporty Spice on Dancing with the Stars.

With raw and inspiring stories about learning how to handle the scary sh*t, XOXO, Cody is a bold and heartfelt reminder that sometimes laughing at yourself is the best medicine. Remember: It ain’t that deep, boo.
