Weekly Class Purge: Peloton Classes From June 19-July 10, 2020 Removed from the On-Demand Library on September 22, 2023

Another round of class library maintenance (i.e. purges) was completed on September 22, 2023, resulting in the removal of the majority Peloton classes filmed between June 19-July 10, 2020 – exactly three weeks worth of content.

This is a decreased time range from the past couple of weeks, which respectively covered two months and six weeks of content. Peloton has typically dealt with purges in two week blocks leading up to the last few weeks; but this has not been as predictable as of late.

There were approximately 400 classes from the June 19-July 10, 2020 time period. Around 75 classes were saved while around 325 were purged. This means that approximately 80% of the on-demand library was removed and 20% saved within that specific time period. As was the case last week, because there were so many classes preserved, we will not be individually linking to all of them.

Classes exempted from the purge were fairly predictable, meaning that they were from featured artist series or special themed classes, such as: the Desmond Child, King Princess, Dolly Parton, Whitney Houston, and Grateful Dead artist series; Juneteenth and Breathe In, Speak Up classes; Go Canada content; and the 2020 All for One workouts (which are the final All for One classes in Peloton’s original format before they pivoted to the All for One Music Festival in 2021).

In addition, nearly every Live from Home class continues to be preserved. Finally, a Power Zone Endurance ride and a 60 minute Tread run also made the cut.

Class library maintenance is Peloton’s removal of older classes from the on demand library, which has been taking place nearly weekly on Fridays since April of 2023. You can view the details of each removal in our articles from each week: April 28, May 5, May 12, May 19, May 26, June 2, June 9, June 16, June 23, June 30, July 7, July 14, July 21, July 28, August 4, August 11, August 18, August 25, September 1, September 8, and September 15.
