The first set of Peloton strength benchmark classes are each 20 minutes with instructors Robin Arzón and Andy Speer:

Note that the classes are not specifically labeled “benchmark,” but the descriptions indicate they are benchmark strength classes. For example, the description for Robin’s class reads:

Tracking your progress is key to making the most of your strength training. Join Robin for this full body class featuring a benchmark AMRAP. Bookmark this class and retake every 6 weeks to see your progress.

Robin’s class utilizes weights, while Andy’s does not. Each class plan is intended to be tracked and recorded, and repeated periodically in order to gauge progress.

For example, Robin’s class starts by testing how many push-ups you can do within 60 seconds; how many suitcase squats you can do within 60 seconds; and how long you can hold a plank up to 60 seconds. This is followed by an eight minute AMRAP (as many rounds as possible) of 10 renegade rows, 10 push presses, 10 bodyweight forward lunges, and 10 thrusters. Throughout the class Robin cues members to write down their numbers – including the weight(s) used, and how many rounds of the AMRAP are completed – so that you have a written record you can refer back to.

We anticipate Robin and Andy will be releasing new benchmark classes – with the same class plan as their original benchmarks from last week – periodically for the next couple of months. Robin also has a full body strength class from December 2023 that has the exact same class plan as her latest benchmark strength class, suggesting that even though the classes are designed to be repeated, Peloton will provide members with new editions with fresh playlists.

If you’re looking for additional strength benchmark classes, there are actually a number already available from Peloton’s training programs. Program classes typically have to be taken in sequential order and within the designated time frame, meaning they are not available directly via the on-demand library. However, numerous programs have benchmark classes, and you can use our direct links to access them outside of the official programs. You can find the complete list below:

Do you utilize benchmark classes in your strength routine, and are you happy to see Peloton adding new content in this area?
