First, Christine will be the keynote speaker at an event called “Practice Mental Health Awareness through the power of self talk”. This event will be at the Muskegon Museum of art, and is free, but a RSVP is required.

Following the talk, Christine will take part in a fundraiser dinner. Those who have fundraised more than $500 will be able to attend the dinner. You can see more details here

Then on Saturday, there will be a “Ride United” community ride event, where you can ride in person with Christine. There are options for 25, 50, or 100 miles – Christine has said she will be riding the 100 mile (or century) event. There are options for both in-person and virtual participation, and anyone interested in joining must register in advance. Each distance requires a $40 payment, and the ride is open to all experience levels.

Christine’s fan group – The CDE Project – is helping to promote the event, and shared that Christine is working with member Jacqui Cincotta to create a month-long training plan for anyone training for the race. The plan will be based on Power Zone work and will become available on April 26. Members will have the opportunity to join a specific Facebook group for their intended mileage to “ train together, communicate, and support one another.”

You can read more about the event via the United Way of the Lakeshore website, or via The CDE project on Facebook. If you’re interested in attending either or both events, be sure to register in advance!
