Peloton Sending “Most Active” Members Gifts to Close Out 2023

Peloton recently mailed gifts to members who were extremely active on the leaderboard in 2023.

Some members received an email informing them that a gift was on the way:

You crushed it on and off the Peloton Leaderboard in 2023. We can’t wait to see what’s next for you in 2024.

The email contained a link to opt into receiving the gift, as well as a congratulatory video from instructor Tunde Oyeneyin.

Members who received the gift have started receiving them in recent days, and the box includes multiple items: a water bottle, a Peloton hat, a Peloton microfiber towel, and a box of chocolates.

The box also contained a notecard congratulation members, wishing them a Happy New Year, and asking them to post on social media by tagging @onepeloton and using the hashtag #gifted.

The gift stated:

Here’s to you. You were among the move active Members in 2024 and we can’t wait to see what’s next in 2024. Happy New Year!

Most recently, Peloton sent gifts to some members who did the lululumon Move For You challenge, as well as sent turkey hats to some members in advance of the 2023 Turkey Burn. Peloton has also sent gifts around their annual All for One Music Festival.

We’ve seen reports of the gifts for this mailing go to multiple countries.

From my perspective, the ‘most active’ people on the leaderboard are the ones doing several short classes a day so they can reach a new ‘milestone’ every weekend and try and get a shout out. Not the people I would choose to reward, but peloton is going to peloton.

Wow – How many classes do you have to do to be “most active”? I usually do a 45 min cycle class + a 20 min cycle class on top of a 10-20 min core class every day. That’s 3 a day!

Nevermind all the folks that had to wait 6-8 months to receive the seat post replacement that was only going to take a month or two to get. Kudos to customer service.

My year end email said I completed 1299 classes and I was just shy of 25,000 minutes in the annual challenge. I didn’t get anything either. 🙁
