Peloton Wins 2024 Webby Award for “The Shaunta-Maé Story”

Peloton has won an award at the 28th Annual Webby Awards, which celebrate “excellence on the Internet.”

In case you missed it, we shared earlier this month that Peloton was nominated for two Webby awards: in the Video category for Branded Entertainment (Health & Wellness); and in the Advertising, Media & PR category, Branded Content: Media & Entertainment for #TikTokFitness, Peloton’s partnership with TikTok.

Peloton won an award in the former category for their video highlighting real-life member Shaunta-Maé Alexander. The ad is called “Feel The Wind: The Shaunta-Maé Story,” and Peloton won the “People’s Voice” award in this category. This means that the award was voted on by the public, rather than being selected by members of the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS).

The winner selected by IADAS is an iPhone + Apple Watch ad called “Another Birthday.”

Earlier this month Peloton shared their Webby nominations to social media and asked members to vote for them. Voting for the Webby’s ended on April 18, 2024.

Peloton did not win any awards for their TikTok content.

The 28th Annual Webby Awards will take place on May 13, 2024 online. For more information, check out the Webby’s website.
