New Feature: Song information (Artist/Title) Now Shown in Live Peloton Classes (Now Playing)

Peloton has quietly expanded their “now playing” feature to appear in live classes. This feature displays the song and artist currently playing in the class – and until now, it has only been available in on-demand classes.

However, members have reported an increasing number of live classes in which music information is available. This is the case for Bike, Tread, and Row devices, as well as on the digital app.

Previously, when taking a live class, members would have to wait until the class was available in the on-demand library to view the class playlist. The songs did not populate on the left side of the screen the way they do when taking an on-demand class. With the expansion of this feature, members can expect to see music information even in a live class.

Peloton has confirmed this is a new feature that began rolling out over the past week or so. It may not be available on every live class just yet, but members will likely notice it in an increasing number of live classes moving forward.

If you enjoy Peloton’s music features, don’t forget that earlier this year they expanded the “music” tab to the app. This allows members to view and manage their saved songs directly from their app; previously this was only possible from a hardware device. You can find more details about this feature via our overview article.

Are you excited to have access to music information during more live classes moving forward?
