New Personal Record Badges (PR/PB) for Distance On Peloton Row Workouts

Peloton is expanding personal best badges (or personal record badges) for distance to the Peloton Row. First added to the Peloton Tread earlier this year, personal record badges are awarded when you achieve your fastest time traveling certain distances.

The distances currently known to be available for a personal record badge on the Row are:

  • 500 meters (500m)
  • 1 kilometer (1K)
  • 2 kilometers (2K)
  • 5 kilometers (5K)
  • 10 kilometers (10K)

Note that personal record badges only appear on the member’s workout history for that specific workout, or a profile overview page if it’s one of the newest badges. However, it will not show on the complete achievements page.

In addition, the feature appears to only be measuring workouts moving forward and not incorporating previous workouts. In other words, if you do a Row workout today and you know it is slower than you have achieved previously, you will still be awarded a personal best badge because it is only measuring workouts that have occurred since the feature was introduced.

Peloton first began trialing this feature in January before fully rolling it out in March of this year to the Tread.

The new PR badges for the row appears to be available to everyone – unlike the new beta of the Ergatta video games on the row – which also rolled out this week but is only currently available to a handful of members.

Those interested in working on their pace on the Row may be interested in Peloton’s “Perfect Your Pace Targets” training program, which helps you identify your personal pace targets.

If you own the Peloton Row, are you excited to have access to personal best badges moving forward?
