2 Peloton Classes by Christian Vande Velde have been Restored and Are Once Again Available in the On-Demand Library

As of September 1, 2023, Peloton had removed the last classes available with pro cyclist instructor Christian Vande Velde. For those unfamiliar, Vande Velde is a former professional road racing cyclist who occasionally taught classes on the Peloton platform up until early 2020, even though he was not a full-fledged member of the instructor team.

UpdateChristian Vande Velde is teaching classes at Peloton again starting on April 7, 2024.

During routine class library maintenance on September 1, Peloton removed the last remaining classes with Vande Velde from the on-demand library.

However, as of last week two classes have reappeared in the on-demand library and are once again available for members to take:

It is currently unclear why Peloton restored these two particular classes after removing them just under two months ago – but it is possible they received member feedback asking that at least some classes with Vande Velde be preserved. It is also unclear whether these are the only two classes that will reemerge, or if other previously deleted classes may come back as well.

We previously shared that Peloton quietly restored numerous “Flow & Let Go” classes – the signature yoga series from Aditi Shah – which just returned for its sixth season last week. We believe these classes were restored in anticipation of the promotion around the series returning, much of which mentioned the dedicated collection that contains classes back to the first season in 2019.

There has not been any public indication that Vande Velde will teach classes for Peloton again; however, he has previously mentioned via social media comments that he would be interested if Peloton asked him back.

Are you happy to see two pro cyclist classes with Christian Vande Velde once again available in the on-demand library?

YES! I’ve written and called Peloton many times as they’ve whittled down the Pro Ride group and eventually removed it altogether. I’ll write them now and thank them for at least throwing us a bone!
