Peloton Activity Feed Notifications Now Live on App & Web Browser

Peloton has now added a way for members to see who has left them high fives on their completed workouts via the activity feed. A new icon has appeared on the “Feed” page of the Peloton App, and on the header bar of the web browser. This new bell icon indicates that activity feed notifications are now live.

Currently this can be viewed on both the web browser and the iOS and Android Peloton apps. Clicking on the bell icon will provide a list of members who have sent you a high-five via the activity feed.

In addition, you can click on the notification to view more details on that specific workout’s high-five activity – the class, the date it was taken, any applicable metrics, and a list of members who left you a high-five.

We first shared that activity feed notifications appeared to be on the way earlier this year. At the time, clicking on the notification widget displayed a message stating: “Not Yet Implemented. The notifications page will be implemented in a later release.”

As a reminder, the activity feed displays the workouts your friends have recently completed. You can view which class they took at which time, as well as key metrics such as output, distance, calories burned, etc. You can leave them a “high five” on that completed activity for them to view in their own feed page.

Moving forward, those friends should receive a notification when you leave them a high-five.

If you do not want your recent activity and metrics to be visible to your followers in the feed page, you can update your privacy settings to hide them. Navigate to “Feed Privacy” and change the setting from “my followers” to “just me.”

The feed page first launched on the web browser last September, and began to roll out on the Peloton App in October.

Do you enjoy Peloton’s activity feed feature, and are you happy to see notification functionality added?
