Peloton Makes Small Font Updates to Bike, Tread, and Row Devices in October 2023

Peloton has rolled out a small update to the fonts on the Bike, Bike+, Tread, Tread+, and Row. Members who have utilized their devices over the past few days may have noticed the slight changes to how numbers and words are displayed on their hardware devices. This includes areas like the leaderboard, clock, metrics, and post-class summary.

For example, on the leaderboard when taking a class, the username appears to be slightly higher than the second line containing gender, age, and location. In other words – there is no more spacing between some of the lines than there were before.

This update doesn’t appear to have impacted just line spacing. In some areas, the new font appears to be displaying slightly smaller than it was before (or the font size was decreased by a small amount).

The adjustment to fonts is impacting the display of some metrics & numbers as well – with members having noticed updates to the clock at the top of the screen, as well as the metrics (such as cadence, resistance, speed, output, stroke rate, etc) shown at the bottom of a screen during class.

In addition to updating the fonts, it also would seem that other areas of the UI got a slight refresh – including the “Home” tab of the screen. Specifically, the “Overview” section of the home screen appears to have received a slight refresh as well.

This is at least the second update to the UI of the hardware devices in as many months. Peloton made another round of updates to the UI back in August.

Did you notice these small changes? If so, what do you think of them?
