Peloton Instructor Becs Gentry To Be Part Of ESPN2 TV Coverage of New York City Marathon

Peloton instructor Becs Gentry will be a contributor for ESPN2’s broadcast of the 2023 New York City Marathon. The New York Road Runners (NYRR) shared the news via press release:

The TCS New York City Marathon, on Sunday, November 5, will be broadcast to more than 540 million homes around the world in 206 countries and territories through various international broadcast partners, including ABC7/WABC-TV in the New York City area and ESPN2 across the United States. WABC-TV and ESPN2 have been home to the award-winning broadcast of the world’s biggest and boldest marathon since 2013.
…A talented array of reporters including veteran Olympics commentator Lewis Johnson, Peloton instructor and marathoner Becs Gentry in her broadcast debut, and ABC7’s Eyewitness News reporters Ryan Field, Sam Ryan, Anthony Johnson, Kemberly Richardson, Michelle Charlesworth, Dani Beckstrom, Brittany Bell, and Josh Einiger will be present at the start, finish, along the course, and in the sky.

This will be Becs’ broadcast debut. Coverage of the marathon will take place on ESPN2 from 8:00am-11:30am ET on marathon day. Ali Feller, race announcer and host of the Ali on the Run podcast, will also be a part of the broadcast team.

Earlier this month Peloton announced a multi-year partnership with the NYRR. The collaboration included a race bib contest, as well as both outdoor audio-only and scenic classes that will be filmed from the marathon course. Peloton instructor Matt Wilpers also launched a new video series in anticipation of the 2023 New York City Marathon. Called “The Road to NYC Marathon Series,” Matt shares tips for training, recovery, and preparing for the NYC Marathon.

The 2023 New York City Marathon will take place on Sunday, November 5. Peloton instructors Rad Lopez, Mariana Fernández, Selena Samuela, Susie Chan, and Jeffrey McEachern will all be running.
