Peloton on TV: Saturday Night Live Weekend Update, The Simpsons & more

Over the years, Peloton has been featured in numerous TV shows & segments – and this month is no different.

Most recently – Saturday Night Live featured Peloton as a joke in their Weekend Update segment from the episode that aired on Saturday, October 15th 2022 (Season 48, Episode 3). The joke centered around Daniel McKenna’s wrongful termination lawsuit against Peloton. You can view the segment here, or embedded below (it’s the first part of the segment).

This isn’t the first time SNL has featured Peloton on the show. In 2021, Saturday Night Live dedicated an entire skit to Peloton called “PeloTaunt”. Weekend Update also featured Peloton as a segment in February this year.

Earlier this month, Peloton was also heavily featured in an episode of The Simpsons. In Season 34, Episode 2 titled “One Angry Lisa”, the show is centered around how “Marge becomes obsessed with her exercise bike.” In the show the bike was a “Pedalon” – the fictional version of Peloton.

The Simpsons shared a segment of the show on Twitter, which you can see here or embedded below:

Family Guy has also featured Peloton this year – including on Season 20 Episode 11’s “Mister Act” episode that aired on January 9th, 2022.

Of course, Peloton being featured in popular TV shows is nothing new. Perhaps the appearance that generated the most conversation was last year’s feature of Peloton in the Sex & The City Reboot – And Just Like That. That resulted in Peloton working with Ryan Reynold’s company and filming their own parody of the show.
