Live Peloton Rowing Classes to Begin in “Early 2023”

After the presale for the Peloton Row launched on Tuesday, new details are emerging about the device, instructors, and content. A top member question has centered on when live classes will be added to the schedule. A newly published FAQ page states that live rowing classes will begin in 2023:

Q: Will there be live classes?
A: At launch, we’ll have a library of on-demand classes available. We plan to introduce a live schedule in early 2023. Stay tuned for more information!

Peloton also replied to numerous social media comments explaining that the initial launch will include pre-recorded on demand drops before a live schedule is announced early next year:

According to the FAQ page, there will be numerous formats of rowing classes available, including “Rowing, Row Bootcamp, Time & Distance Scenic classes, music-based classes and more.” We have previously reported that rowing bootcamps are coming, in addition to scenic content.

We shared last week that classes are already being recorded at Peloton Studios New York (PSNY). These are likely the classes for the on demand library that Peloton has mentioned will be released when rowing launches. The expected shipping time for the device is in December, so we expect the first classes to be released then – but this could be subject to change.

Peloton also announced three brand new and two existing instructors who will make up the rowing coaching team: Ash Pryor, Alex Karwoski, Katie Wang, Adrian Williams & Matt Wilpers. You can read more about them in our recent article.

Additionally, though details are still emerging about Peloton’s expansion into rowing, new information indicates that rowing content will be locked to Peloton Row owners only. You can read more about that development in our recent article.

It is currently unclear how robust the live rowing schedule will be. We will continue to share updates as new information becomes available.
