Report: More Streaming Video Services Being Tested for Peloton Entertainment on Bike, Tread & Row (Hulu, Disney+, Apple TV+, HBO Max, ESPN+, etc)

Members can likely expect a plethora of additional streaming video services on Peloton Entertainment once the feature officially launches.

In case you missed it, Peloton Entertainment – Peloton’s new feature that allows members to access streaming content from their hardware device like the Bike or Tread – is currently in the beta testing phase. Members included in the beta test group now have an “Entertainment” option included in the “More” tab on their hardware screen. Only Amazon Prime TV and YouTube TV are currently included in the test.

However, it appears that Peloton is preparing to rapidly expand the streaming services to other content providers. At this time it is not clear if all of these additional services would be added when the Peloton Entertainment feature officially launches to everyone out of beta, or if these would be slowly released afterwards in the coming weeks & months.

Multiple members have reported that they temporarily gained access to numerous additional streaming video options through Peloton Entertainment. They were able to log into their accounts with their credentials for that specific provider – but the additional options were removed within a few hours.

It would seem Peloton was intending to test these additional video options with a much smaller group, but they were accidentally added to a bigger test group before being removed.

The additional streaming services that appeared within Peloton Entertainment to some members include:

  • Apple TV+
  • CBS Sports
  • Disney+
  • ESPN+
  • Fox Sports
  • Fubo TV
  • HBO Max
  • Hulu
  • NBC Sports
  • Paramount Plus
  • Pluto TV
  • TNT

Many thanks to a well known Peloton troubleshooter for sharing the below video, showing all these additional services showing up for them.

Based on these options appearing temporarily, it seems likely that Peloton is prepared to add them to the Entertainment feature in the coming weeks or months.

Members will likely notice a major brand missing from the list – Netflix. While there were no reports of Netflix appearing within the Peloton Entertainment beta test, it is difficult to imagine Netflix not ultimately being included. Not only is it the largest streaming service provider by subscribers, but Peloton CEO Barry McCarthy is their former Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

We will continue to share updates regarding the new Peloton Entertainment feature as they become available. If you’re looking for more information regarding the Peloton Entertainment beta test, check out our overview article for additional details and images.

I had access to Netflix and used to watch while I did a run. It is gone now. I only see YouTubeTV.

I love that Peloton is adding this feature. I had the opportunity to try Amazon Prime the other day and enjoyed an endurance row on my rower. I love the content that Peloton offers; however, when I want to row for an hour or over there aren’t too many classes to choose from. I’m excited they are added even more streaming services!

I do have to say though, they must be still testing because I tried to row on a different day and only YouTube TV was available.

Thank you for the article, it was very informative!

I had both Netflix and YouTubeTV. They both disappeared this morning.

I just did two entertainment rides this week and Netflix was there on my bike as of this afternoon 8/12/23. My only issue is that the heart rate monitor doesn’t sync with the ride and the calories burned are not accurate. Other than that it’s fun. I hope they keep it.
