Peloton has announced that they will reopen their corporate offices on Monday, April 25. They shared the news last night via press release:
With trust in our Peloton team members and the belief in the power of human connection, we are excited to announce that we are officially ready to safely welcome our Corporate (office-based) teams back to all global Peloton offices starting Monday, April 25, 2022, with workplace arrangements that will look different than what they were before the start of the pandemic. We believe strongly that flexibility will be key to our success, and we’re looking forward to returning to the office in a balanced, flexible way that works for both Peloton and our incredible team members.
The release goes on to detail what “the new way of working” at Peloton will entail, and a big part of this prioritizes flexible work. Eligible employees will have two different options:
- Working from a Peloton corporate office between one and five days per week, with complete flexibility to work remotely when not in the physical office.
- Working remotely full time.
These arrangements are contingent upon the employee’s ability to perform their job responsibilities without needing to physically be in the Peloton offices, and their given team collaboration requirements.
In addition, eligible employees will have the ability to use “Work Remotely Days,” which will allow them to work remotely for up to 30 days per year. Peloton hopes this new model will help attract and retain top talent moving forward:
With this new model, we are confident team members will be excited to spend time in our offices collaborating and connecting, celebrating milestones, and meeting each other in person for the first time (and maybe, even running into an Instructor or two!) — with a schedule that works best for their lifestyle and job responsibilities.
The Peloton corporate offices closed in March of 2020 at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Previously based in Chelsea, Peloton moved their New York corporate office to Hudson Yards in early 2020. They had also planned on opening Peloton Studios New York (PSNY), also located in Hudson Yards, before the pandemic forced them to shut down.
Peloton has also previously said they are preparing to reopen their New York and London studios to the public over the summer. This will be the first time since early 2020 they were open.
