Peloton’s 2023 New Year’s offer is now live in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Australia. Starting December 26 through January 8 customers can receive up to $500 off of Bike, Bike+, and Tread packages; and up to $250 off of Guide and Row packages in the U.S. In addition, there is a 30% apparel sale happening as well.
The exact discount amount varies in each of Peloton’s operating countries based on currency. Peloton has updated their home page and sent an email to their list-serve informing them of the offer.
If you’re curious as to how this sale matches up to previous sales, you can see some charts of how much Peloton Bikes, Treads, and other devices cost over time here. In this case, the Black Friday sale for this year was better than the current New Year’s sale that started today.
As with the previous holiday-related sales, you must purchase an accessory package to receive the discount – Peloton is not offering any discounts on the hardware products alone.
However, Peloton has slightly altered the configuration of the accessory packages for each of their devices. They added new mid-level package options with different base pricing, and then added the New Year’s discount on top of that.
For example, the original Bike “starter” and “select” accessory packages have been replaced with an “essentials” package that includes cycling shoes, light weights, bike mat, and 10 lb. set of dumbbells. Normally priced at $1,695, customers can purchase the package for $1,195 through January 8.
The Bike+ “starter” and “select” accessory packages have also been replaced with an “essentials” package. Normally priced at $2,745, customers can purchase the package for $2,245 through January 8.
The Tread “essentials” package has been replaced by the “fundamentals” package that includes a set of 10 lb. dumbbells and a set of 15 lb. dumbbells. Normally priced at $3,695, customers can purchase the package for $3,295 through January 8.
The Guide packages have remained unchanged with both the “strength starter” and “power” accessory packages available for a discount.
Lastly, Peloton has added an “essentials” package to the Row, which includes a row mat, reversible workout mat, sport water bottle, one set of 10 lb. dumbbells, and resistance bands. Normally priced at $3,445, customers can purchase the package for $3,195 through January 8.
In addition to the hardware sales, Peloton is also running a 30% off sale on apparel (affiliate link). Members can use the code “SAVE30” for the discount.
Peloton has also published a new support page with additional information. As always, there are some important items to note:
- You must make your purchase from the Peloton website or your local Peloton showroom. These discounts are not available from third party retailers such as Amazon or DICK’S Sporting Goods.
- Financing will still be available for purchases made during this offer.
- If you have a referral code from an existing member you can still use it so that they receive their apparel credit, but you will not receive the additional $100 off of your purchase.
As always, those who purchase hardware must separately sign up for the All-Access Membership, which costs $44 per month.
We previously reported that another sale was imminent after Peloton sent mailers to some customers in preparation for the offer.
This is the third holiday-related sale Peloton has launched within the past few weeks. Their 2022 Black Friday & Cyber Monday sales began in early November and offered $600 off of Bike, Bike+, and Tread packages; and $300 off of Guide and Row packages. After those sales ended on December 6, Peloton initiated a new holiday sale through December 25 that provided up to $400 off of Bike, Bike+ and Tread packages; and $200 off of Guide and Row packages.
While this New Year’s Day offer is not as high as the recent Black Friday & Cyber Monday offer, it does provide more of a discount than the sale Peloton has been running for the past three weeks.
