The Tread+ has officially been added back to Peloton’s website, with its own dedicated product page: https://www.onepeloton.com/tread-plus.
In addition to confirming our earlier report that the device will cost $5,995 when it returns to market, the page mentions that customers can try the Tread+ in Peloton’s retail stores beginning on November 10, 2023. This implies that by November 10, all Peloton showrooms in the United States should have a Tread+ available for customers to try.
Furthermore, the page explicitly states: “Pre-order Tread+ this December” – narrowing down the previous “holiday season” timeline Peloton provided to December specifically. Deliveries are to start in “early 2024,” which lines up with our previous reporting that the first Tread+ deliveries are expected to begin approximately 6-8 weeks after the presale begins.
Finally, there is a note on the page that limited quantities are available for purchase. CEO Barry McCarthy has communicated that the first 10,000 Tread+ devices sold will be fulfilled through Peloton’s existing inventory. After the first 10,000 are sold, Peloton will need to start manufacturing new devices again – which could elongate delivery estimates.

The Tread+has not been available for sale since 2021 due to a U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recall. After repeatedly reaffirming that they were working with the CPSC on a fix for the device, Peloton announced in their August 2023 earnings call that a rear guard had been approved to address previous safety issues, and the Tread+ will be available for sale during the 2023 holiday season. All new orders will have this new rear guard already installed.
Peloton also recently reached out to existing Tread+ users to inform them that they can expect to receive information about scheduling an appointment to receive their free rear guard in early 2024.
