Seasonal Peloton Schedule Change taking place in September 2024

Peloton appears to be preparing for a seasonal live schedule change. Though no official announcements have yet been made, the studio booking site reveals that schedule alterations are on the way.

The studio booking site – which displays classes approximately 6 weeks out – is now displaying classes following the upcoming summer studio closure, and the class dates and times indicate numerous changes.

First and foremost, the earliest live class with members in studio – which until now has been 7:00am ET – is shifting up 30 minutes to 6:30am ET. This is the case for Fridays and Mondays. On Saturdays and Sundays, the earliest class with members used to take place at 8:00am ET; but it is also shifting up 30 minutes earlier to 7:30am ET.

In addition, rowing classes have typically taken place with members in-studio on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays in the 10:30am ET time slot. In September, rowing classes appear on the schedule in the 6:30am ET or 7:30am ET time slot, including some classes on Mondays.

It also appears that numerous instructors are shifting their standard time slots. Though there is not a 100% consistent schedule every week – especially during the weekends when members are in-studio – many instructors have regular days and times at which they teach. As the September studio booking website is rolling out – it appears many instructors will be teaching on different days and times than they may have been the past several months.

Note that not every single class slot or instructor is undergoing a change. For example, Matt Wilpers’ standard Saturday morning Power Zone ride looks like it will remain in place.

These schedule changes will likely become more clear when the full upcoming schedule – including classes that are not open to members in-person – for September becomes available in the coming weeks.

Major schedule changes have occurred in 2022 and 2023; but there are also more minor schedule adjustments typically two or three times per year.

This has taken place for many years now, as Peloton tries to shift schedules around so that members who might not be able to take a class with an instructor in one time slot might have a chance to in a different slot later in the year – or just to work around instructors requests and schedules.

These changes follow a bigger change Peloton just made, in announcing that there will no longer be any live Peloton classes on Wednesdays.
