New consistent Peloton class schedule announced – begins August 22

Peloton has released an updated weekly schedule that will go into effect on Monday, August 22. Peloton shared the news via Instagram:

Today we’re launching a brand-new schedule—with new programming structures designed to better support your fitness journey. With PSNY and PSL opening up to live Members (Fri.-Sun.), we wanted to block out set discipline times each week—so you can plan accordingly. Monday through Thursday is all about consistency in training.

Peloton also published a blog post with additional information, focusing on Mondays through Thursdays (during which classes will not be open to the public) as the days to maintain “consistency” during the week. Members can expect to see the same fitness modalities at a standing day and time each week. The complete newly refreshed schedule is below.

Note that there might be other classes weekly in addition to these – these are just the times you can know for sure you will find specific classes. Peloton confirmed as much in a post on social media, saying:

We can confirm that this schedule change is primarily for workouts that will be consistently scheduled at the new times, but does not narrow out other live workouts being available at other times, including early mornings. We hope that clears things up, and we recommend keeping an eye out on the live schedule for future updates.

Also notably absent is what has been a staple since the early days of Peloton: the live 6:00am EST cycling class on weekdays.

Peloton’s social media posts are filled with comments from members who are unhappy about this new schedule, arguing that it doesn’t offer good options for people who work during the day; asking about the lack of 6:00am EST and 5:00pm EST time slots; and expressing concerns about limited live options for those who live on the west coast.

    More Pilates! That’s great.

  • Michele says:

Very disappointed in the removal of 6am Eastern cycling classes. Guess I will just take on demand rides

  • Maegen (#maegsj) says:

The best thing about this schedule is the addition of Pilates! The two worst things about this schedule are the elimination of 6 am classes, though I always wished the first cycle class was at 5:45 am instead and the fact that every class starts on the hour. I think classes should always start at 10 or 15 after the hour. Also, it’s just weird that they released this schedule without a plan for Bike Bootcamps. Like, why do we need to stay tuned? Just have this figured out already and communicate everything all at once.

  • Dan says:

I do mostly live rides a s fun to do with a big group, but that 7pm EST ride will be PACKED (metaphorically) in the winter. And they actually made the schedule worse! For West Coast

  • Greg says:

They managed to make the live cycling schedule even more mediocre for the west coast. I didn’t realize it was possible.

  • Ashley says:

Ally Love’s 6 AM EST class is legendary. Such a bummer.

  • Neil says:

Not enough information to judge. Having a predictable schedule is good, although if people are so distraught about certain times not being offered as it seems many are, I might think they could do 2 days with one schedule and 2 days with another schedule, perhaps more pacific time friendly times. If I can do 2-3 live classes a week I’m happy

  • Michael says:

A consistent schedule is very much needed, should be a given. It is perplexing though to see so few classes each day. There are so many instructors. Why not classes at 1p, 2p, 3p, 4p and 5p EST? Should easily be 13 or 1; classes every day. Roll out there star/celebrity power and showcase what Peloton is. What happened to Fri-Sun? I mean where are the instructors? Am I missing something, there are enough employees for everyone to get physical and mental rest and pack this schedule. We shouldn’t have instructors doing a class once a week or maybe twice and not see it for weeks following. Instructors should be slotted in multiple times per day and week with specific times. Build the brand. Utilize the roster.
Let’s go Peloton! Got to keep on movin….

  • Michael says:

Above comment I meant to say 13 to 14 classes per day. And that should be minimum and easily can be done with how many instructors Peloton has.

  • Michael says:

Should be 13 to 14 classes per day at very minimum with amount of quality instructors Peloton has on staff.

  • Lisa says:

Do they truly mean EST or do they just mean Eastern time, which could be EDT (eastern daylight time) or EST depending upon which one we are in. Small but important detail given some states and countries don’t abide by daylight time.

  • Adam says:

I’m trying to understand why Peloton continues to hate West Coast people so much:
    – No before-work 8am classes
    – No lunchtime (noon) classes
    – No after-work classes (latest is 4pm)

    Sheesh.

  • Laura says:

Where are the live classes for the West Coast. I am starting to think maybe it’s time to go back to the gym.

  • Tara M says:

It’s strange to me that while more people are returning to work and Fall School schedules that they wouldn’t offer 5am CT/6am CT Live classes consistently?

  • A P says:

love a consistent schedule, but this is NOT it.
the variety is gone. No more taking multiple lives in the morning or afternoons across disciplines (ex. a strength then a form of cardio). Live’s are what peloton has prided themselves on, and “together”ness. i know there are encore classes, a live class is much more motivating and something to look forward to.

  • Angela says:

Disappointed the 5:30am and 6am cycling classes are removed. I prefer live classes versus encore or pre-recorded. The majority of the working class has just been removed from live peloton for those that have evening obligations. 😢

  • Jennifer says:

This schedule change is horrible! I have evening obligations with my kids and can only do morning workouts. BRING BACK THE 6AM EST LIVE CLASSES!!!

  • Jill P says:

Consistency in scheduling – ugh! Boring. One reason it was easy to give up the gym was the years long spin class at xTime on xDay. I felt like a darned robot. It’s not for me. It’s not exciting and it’s not real life. And who thought that eliminating the eastern classes until 7am was a good idea? How about variety? Something for everyone? A rolling schedule? One week Monday spin at 6, next week it’s at 7, the following week at 8. And why the hour change? With a half hour change, people can rearrange and accommodate easier. Easier to change personal schedules for 1/2 hour than an hour. Perhaps change 6am to 5:30 or 6:30. Very disappointing.
