Peloton having technical issues with live classes on Jan 29, 2023 (live class outage)

Peloton is having technical issues related to live classes on January 29th, 2023. This is resulting in an outage of live Peloton classes.

Update – Peloton resolved the issue around 4:30pm ET.

The issue has impacted multiple classes, with Ross Rayburn’s live yoga classes beginning to have issues midway through it. Tunde Oyeneyin’s live cycling class was reportedly canceled due to the issues.

It remains to be seen if Christine D’Ercole’s live cycling class will take place as scheduled or not at 3:00pm ET [Update – Christine’s class has now been removed from the live schedule, so it appears to have been cancelled as well due to the issue.]

Peloton posted an outage around 2:00pm ET, saying:

We are investigating an issue with Peloton class streaming. This may impact your ability to take live classes.

Peloton marked the outage as resolved around 4:30pm ET.

The outage does not appear to be impacting on-demand classes – only live Peloton classes. There is only one remaining live class today, so we would expect the issue to be resolved before any live classes are scheduled to begin on Monday, January 30th.

This is a developing story and we’ll update it as we have more information.
