Peloton is expanding their partnership with Amazon, and will begin selling the Peloton Bike+ through Amazon in the US & Canada.
The home page for Peloton on Amazon’s site (affiliate link) has now been updated to show the Peloton Bike+ on the page as an option.
The specific page on Amazon for the Peloton Bike+ has been created on Amazon, however, the inventory doesn’t appear to be fully loaded yet, as it says the product is currently unavailable.
The support page about the Amazon x Peloton partnership has also now been updated, and states that both the Peloton Bike and Peloton Bike+ are available for sale in the US.
The Peloton & Amazon partnership first began in August 2022. At the time, the only pieces of hardware available on Amazon to purchase were the original Peloton Bike, as well as the Peloton Guide.
To make this partnership happen, Peloton updated the assembly process for the Peloton bike, enabling it to be able to be flat-packed in small boxes and be mailed to owners for self-assembly. Peloton released new DIY assembly instructions for the original Peloton Bike as part of this.
Now that the Bike+ is available for sale on Amazon, Peloton has also made DIY self-assembly an option for the Bike+. You can find the Bike+ self-assembly instructions available here.
The original Peloton Bike has also temporarily been removed from Amazon, due to the recall in the US & Canada about the original Peloton Bike seat post. An updated seat post fix is already available, so those listings should be back up soon.
For those curious about how the Peloton x Amazon partnership works, Peloton has shared in a previous earnings call that their partnership with Amazon is as a wholesaler. Amazon buys the products in bulk ahead of time from Peloton – which is when Peloton recognizes the revenue as a sold product. The products are then Amazon’s to resell to the customer.
Peloton currently has a sale happening on Peloton hardware, so one would imagine Amazon would likely be matching the sale price once inventory is loaded.
Although Peloton is also available on Amazon in the UK, as well as Germany, at time of publishing it appears the Bike+ is only being listed on Amazon in the US & Canada at this time.
At this time, neither the Peloton Tread or Peloton Row are available for purchase on Amazon in any country.
