Lanebreak, Peloton’s interactive fitness-based gaming experience, has been nominated this year for a Unity Award.
According to their website, the Unity Awards is “an annual event that brings our community of creators together for a global celebration of creativity, impact, and excellence.” It is a prestigious award within the gaming and technology industry.
This year, Lanebreak was nominated for the Unity Award category “Best Embedded System Project.” The news was shared by multiple Peloton employees on LinkedIn.

An engineering manager from Peloton stated:
“I’m thrilled to share that Peloton’s first fitness-based gaming experience, Lanebreak, has been nominated for a Unity Award! This is a big milestone not only for the gaming team, but also the company. The nomination is the direct result of the hard work and creativity that was poured into this project over the last few years. Congrats to everyone who has had a hand in Lanebreak.”
Lanebreak first released exclusively on the Peloton Bike and Bike+ in February 2022. After some time, it also made its way to the Peloton Tread in June 2023 and the Tread+ in January of this year.
This year’s Unity Award winners will be announced during the first-ever Unity Awards Showcase via live stream on October 23, 2024, at 7:00 pm CET on YouTube and Twitch.
You can find more information on the awards at https://unity.com/awards. According to the Unity Awards FAQ, not every award category is listed for the public to vote on. Some categories are voted on internally by Unity employees and subject matter experts only. Peloton’s Lanebreak does not appear under the three categories listed on the awards website, so does not appear to be eligible for public voting.
Congratulations to Peloton’s Lanebreak team for this exciting nomination!
