Peloton's July Workouts to Watch email highlighting new program with Rebecca.

New 3 day split strength program from Rebecca Kennedy on July 26; Joslyn Thompson Rule to teach Peloton strength & more

Members can look forward to plenty of new strength content throughout this month, as indicated by Peloton’s “July Workouts to Watch” email. This includes a new split strength program from Rebecca Kennedy, Joslyn Thompson Rule being added as a strength coach, and more.

First, Rebecca Kennedy will release her second split strength program – her third split strength program if you include her unofficial program from earlier this year – on July 26, 2024.

Update – You can find details on Rebecca Kennedy’s 3 day split strength program on Peloton here.

According to Peloton’s email:

Starting July 26, maximize your workouts in a new 3-day intermediate Split Program with Rebecca! This program leverages heavier weights and targets specific areas of the body to increase strength and build muscle in every workout.

Rebecca first hinted that this new 3 day split program was potentially in the works back in May. She currently has a 5 day split program and a 4 day split program available; though the 4 day program is unofficial in the sense that it is not housed within the Peloton “Collections” section and will not award any badges.

This newest program will be official; in other words the classes will not be available in the general class list. Members will need to “start the program” and follow the recommended class schedule in order to access the content. However, as always we will provide a full list of classes and details on the program once it is available.

Members will gain access to Rebecca’s new 3 day split strength training program on July 26; but if you’re looking for content to take in the meantime, you can check out our programs page for a list and overview of all available Peloton training programs.

Next, Joslyn Thompson Rule will debut as a strength instructor on July 19. Though Joslyn teaches Tread bootcamp classes – which alternate between running on the Tread and strength on the mat – she has not yet taught a standalone strength class besides Arms & Light Weights content.

This will change later this month when she appears in a new strength collection alongside Matty Maggiacomo. According to the Peloton email:

Starting July 19, join Joslyn as she debuts her all-new Strength Basics collection with Matty. These 10-minute classes break down foundational moves to help you perfect your form, whether you’re an experienced lifter or a newbie.

It is currently unclear whether Joslyn will become a regular on the Peloton strength lineup moving forward. For now, members can definitely anticipate new strength-specific content from Joslyn focused on the basics, each class 10 minutes in length. The collection will become available on July 19, 2024.

Finally, Peloton is continuing their pilates content utilizing equipment. Peloton began adding equipment – such as sliders, bands, a ball, and a pilates ring – back in December of 2023; however, Kristin McGee has been the primary instructor to incorporate these accessories into her classes over time.

After her recent departure, it appears Peloton will continue to utilize accessories and will also debut a dedicated collection later this month to make applicable classes easier to find. According to the email:

Level up your Pilates practice with a series of classes using equipment like a ring, ball, or sliders. Available on-demand under Collections starting July 17.

In case you missed it, Peloton has been emphasizing their commitment to new strength programming and content in recent weeks. We recently reported that barbell classes could be on the way.

The email also goes on to mention that Jenn Sherman has a new epic-singalong ride coming, and that the Jess King sweat steady series is now on the Tread.

We will share the full details on each of these new programs and collections as they are released. Which one are you most looking forward to?
