Kristin McGee is leaving Peloton after spending 6 years with the company.
In a video today, she shared the news of her departure saying “I have made the decision to spend time to focus on my family and move on from Peloton.”
Update – You can read more about how contract discussions are the reason for the recent Peloton departures.
She went on to say that:
I am moving on from Peloton. I have had the most incredible past 6 years. What an amazing adventure. So many incredible experiences. So much growth.
Kristin McGee’s last Peloton class will be on June 29th (the same date as Kendall Toole’s). Members can book spots in Kristin’s last class starting on June 18th @ 12:00pm ET.
Kristin also did confirm that her classes will remain available on-demand.

Kristin had first publicly shared she was joining Peloton in December 2018 – as one of the three yoga instructors to help launch yoga on the platform.
This is the third departure within two months for Peloton. Kendall Toole announced that she was leaving Peloton last week, and Ross Rayburn announced at the end of April he was leaving and would be teaching until June.
Note that Peloton’s fiscal year ends on June 30th, 2024.
A Peloton spokesperson noted that all three departure were due to “contract discussions”. They went on to say that we may see them later, saying “Our door will always be open to them, so this is not a final goodbye, but rather, we hope to see them later.”
The full statement from Peloton said:
As with all businesses who work with professional athletes, Instructor contracts are a normal and ongoing part of the Peloton process. During our most recent round of contract discussions, three of our beloved Instructors have chosen to leave to explore new opportunities. Each has their own special magic that has helped build the incredible Peloton community we have today; we are truly grateful and wish them all the best. Our door will always be open to them, so this is not a final goodbye, but rather, we hope to see them later. As we think about Peloton’s future, we are excited about the opportunity to bring new talent to our Instructor roster to continue offering a best-in-class experience to our Members.
Kristin McGee went on to talk about the Peloton community, saying:
It’s just been such an incredible community. I’m going to miss you all so so much. Not a final goodbye. All my content is staying up on demand.
Kristin mentioned that she will be “spending a little time focusing on my family – my boys.”
Kristin shared a few extra details in a newsletter post, saying:
Unfortunately, sometimes things have to shift. Certain circumstances just didn’t make it possible to stay with Peloton. Change is inevitable; and without change, how can we grow? I’m not going to lie, change is also scary: but God (the universe, higher power, whatever it is that’s out there) is nudging me in a new direction. When the signs keep pointing the way, I can’t ignore them. I’m nervous and excited and curious to see what my next adventure holds. I am truly happy to spend some precious time with my boys. I am also ready to connect more with nature and spend some time slowing down. I’ll never stop teaching because that is not only my passion, but also I truly believe my purpose here on earth.
She also touched on what she will be doing next:
As to exactly what is next, I’ll spend some time in meditation listening to my heart voice. When one door closes, another one opens. I’ll see what the universe opens up for me. I’ll be here sharing my insights here. I’d love to hear from you when things resonate with you. If you have questions, send them my way. Together we can continue to shine from the inside and spread a much needed positive light in this world.
