Tobias Heinze, a German Peloton instructor, has announced that he is leaving the company.
Tobias Heinze shared he is leaving Peloton today, saying that “I have decided to step down from my position as Peloton trainer”.
In a statement, Peloton said the following about Tobias Heinze’s departure:
“Separate from the recent contract process, German Instructor Tobias Heinz will also be parting ways with Peloton, as of today. We wish Tobias the best in his next chapter.”
This refers to the earlier statement Peloton released last week – saying that the departures of Ross, Kristin, and Kendall were related to contract negotiations.
Update – Peloton has released a new statement saying all remaining instructors have signed new contracts.
Tobias does not currently have any remaining upcoming classes on the schedule – and it does not currently sound like there will be a farewell class, as the statement from Peloton said he is leaving “as of today”

Tobias Heinze did clarify that, like other instructors who have recently left, his classes will remain available on demand.
Tobias taught German language Tread classes for Peloton – at the time of his departure, there are 629 classes from Tobias remaining. A few final classes by Tobias were released directly to the on-demand library in the past several days.
Members have been wondering in recent weeks what was happening with Tobias. His first signature series Unleash Your Limits – was announced in May – but the first class ended up being canceled.
Tobias, who is known as “Coach T”, was also scheduled to teach a class at the German “London Calling” members weekend that took place on June 29th. However, his class was canceled and replaced with a class by a different instructor with no messaging as to why this may be.
Tobias’s announcement today did not fully clarify – but said he looks forward to connecting with members in “different ways” in the future.
His full announcement roughly translates to:
Hello Team,
I would like to inform you that I have decided to step down from my position as Peloton trainer. So thankful for this community; it was truly a pleasure to run and rock with you. Looking at my next professional chapter, I look forward to connecting with you in different ways. My classes remain available on demand so you can continue to enjoy them.
Your Coach T

This is the fourth Peloton instructor to leave in recent weeks. As we have previously shared – Ross Rayburn announced he was leaving in April. Then, Kristin McGee announced in early June she was departing. Finally, Kendall Toole announced shortly after she was leaving as well.
All three of those instructors had final classes this weekend – with over 19,000 people taking Kendall’s last ride live.
Tobias first joined Peloton in 2021.
