Peloton announced this week via social media that they would be taking their popular Live DJ classes from the bike over to the Tread as well.
The first Live DJ Treadmill class for Peloton will take place this Friday, December 18th @ 7:00pm ET. It will feature Adrian Williams along with DJ John Michael.
Live DJ Peloton bike rides have been a popular Friday night ride, pairing DJ John Michael with Robin Arzon, Cody Rigsby, Matt Wilpers, and many others. This could eventually mean people can take live DJ classes on both Tread & Bike in the same night – an early session on the Bike, followed by a session on the Tread.
We won’t know until 2021 how regular of an occurrence live DJ Tread classes will be. The following two Fridays, Peloton will have no live classes due to Peloton’s closure for Christmas & New Years.
Fans of the Peloton Tread are hoping this is the beginning of Peloton starting to put more intention behind Tread classes. The new lower cost Peloton Tread is launching in March, and Peloton has stated recently they think eventually they’ll have 2-3 times more Tread users than bike users. However, the live and on-demand running library do not have the same variety or frequency that bike classes do at this point.
And for fans of Adrian Williams, he just had his first-ever outdoor runs drop this week to the on-demand library.
