Booking In-Person Classes at Peloton Studios No Longer has Queue/Virtual Waiting Room

Members who have attempted to book in-person classes at either Peloton Studios New York (PSNY) or Peloton Studios London (PSL) in recent weeks may have noticed a major change in process: no online queue, or virtual waiting room.

Members can expect this to remain the case moving forward, as Peloton has confirmed that the new platform (TeamUp) they migrated to back in December of 2023 is better equipped for higher traffic; thus, this has eliminated the need for an online queue.

Thus, for the foreseeable future, members should not need to log onto the studio booking site 30-60 minutes early solely to ensure they secure a spot in the online queue.

The online queue has been a signature aspect of the studio booking process until recently. It was first added in September 2022 to help manage overwhelming demand for the classes. Members would need to enter the site early and hope that they secured a decent spot in the line-up before new classes were posted. The queue regularly grew to thousands of users each week.

However, users are still reporting issues here and there with the new system timing out right at noon when bookings go live – so hopefully Peloton is continuing to work on optimizations to make the process smoother.

Peloton periodically makes changes to the studio booking process. Earlier this year they implemented a timeout period for their new waitlist system.
