Peloton has been nominated for two of the 28th Annual Webby Awards in 2024. The Webby awards describe themselves as “the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet.”
Peloton shared the news via Instagram earlier today, and asked the Peloton community to vote for them.
The first award nomination is in the Video category, for Branded Entertainment: Health & Wellness. This relates to a video Peloton made highlighting member Shaunta-Maé Alexander.
Shaunta-Maé Alexander was diagnosed with a neurological condition that left her paralyzed from the waist down. She began working out with Peloton and is now able to walk, run, ride, and lift weights. The Peloton ad closes with Shaunta-Maé reading the quote that she has tattooed on her arm, “The wind will catch her feet, and you will sail.”
You can watch the Peloton member story featuring Shaunta-Maé on YouTube, or read more in our story here.
The second Webby Award nomination is for the Advertising, Media & PR category, Branded Content: Media & Entertainment for #TikTokFitness, Peloton’s partnership with TikTok.
This partnership launched in January 2024 to serve as a fitness hub on the app.
#TikTokFitness includes access to exclusive content released by Peloton instructors as well as select classes being broadcast live on TikTok, such as Camila Ramón’s ride with artist Feid in October 2023.
Voting for the Webby Awards is now open. You can find more information about the Webby awards here.
