Peloton members have another opportunity to hear a familiar voice while they are on the go during the holiday season.
Matty Maggiacomo is returning as a voice option on the Waze GPS navigation app, once again themed as the “Spicy Gingerbread Man.”
First launched in 2023, Matty was the first Peloton instructor to lend their voice to Waze, bringing his signature energy and charm to the daily commute. Drivers could hear Matty guiding them with playful, holiday-inspired directions, from turns to alerts and everything in between.
To find Matty in Waze, go into your Settings, and then select “Voice and Sound”. From there, in the Voice Directions, find the “Spicy Gingerbread Menu” – which will load Matty was your holiday-themed voice.
When Matty shared the project in 2023, he said at the time it was one of the “silliest and most fun things” he had done.
More recently – Matty just launched his own Broadway themed podcast.
Fellow instructor Cody Rigsby also was available as a guest Waze voice in 2024.
To activate the “Spicy Gingerbread Man” / Matty Maggiacomo voice, open Waze, go to Settings > Voice & Sound, and select Matty’s holiday voice from the list.
