Matty Maggiacomo Has A New Broadway Podcast: Drama Club With Matty

Peloton instructor Matty Maggiacomo, known for his fun, energetic, and often challenging Broadway-themed classes across different modalities, is starting his own Broadway podcast beginning Wednesday, October 15

“Drama Club With Matty” is billed as “a new kind of Broadway podcast” and will feature Maggiacomo conversing with a number of Broadway stars about all things Broadway over the span of the season.

According to the official YouTube page description, season one will see Maggiacomo welcome Lesli Margherita from Gypsy, Orfeh from Burlesque, Betsy Wolfe from & Juliet, J. Harrison Ghee, Jessica Vosk, Nikki M. James, Amber Iman and many more.

The podcast will be available for subscription on Apple Music, Spotify, and other podcast platforms with video episodes broadcast on YouTube. New episodes will be premiering every Wednesday. Interested listeners/viewers can follow Maggiacomo’s Instagram account and the podcast’s official Instagram account to stay updated on the weekly episodes.

Matty announced the new podcast, saying:

This fall, come join us for a new (kind of) Broadway Podcast! DRAMA CLUB WITH MATTY premieres Wed, October 15th on Youtube & and all podcast platforms! See you in DRAMA CLUB!

In entering the podcast space for the first time, Maggiacomo joins several other Peloton instructors who have created their own podcasts.

Matt Wilpers recently began hosting a new Peloton podcast called “Move for Life”, dedicated to discussing “Longevity and what it shows about living a longer, healthier life.” Camila Ramón introduced her podcast “Hasta Abajo with Cami & Meli” in April of this year. Ramón and her co-host, former pro soccer player Melissa Ortiz discuss “the nitty gritty of sports, Latin music, entrepreneurship, mental health, body image, winning mindsets & más.” Marcel Dinkins’s Instagram video interview series “Take the Hill”, during which she talks to guests about overcoming life’s uphill challenges, recently moved to the podcasting space as well.

Last year, Cody Rigsby launched his podcast “Tactful Pettiness” in which he and co-host (and Broadway performer) Andrew Chappelle discuss everything from pop culture to relationship advice. Meanwhile, Becs Gentry regularly hosts the New York Roadrunners (NYRR) podcast “NYRR Set the Pace Presented by Peloton” as part of the NYRR’s ongoing collaboration with Peloton. Prior to all of those Tunde Oyeneyin hosted Peloton’s first podcast – Fitness Flipped.

Over the years, Peloton has slowly increased the number of Broadway-themed classes and even has classes dedicated to specific musicals. A glance at the Broadway class list shows Maggiacomo with his fair share of Broadway running, walking, and strength content, with many other instructors leading classes as well.

While the older Broadway classes have been purged from the platform, Peloton members should expect more new Broadway classes to be added regularly, especially since new musicals regularly open in New York City.

Now with his podcast, Maggiacomo undoubtedly will whet the appetite of members wanting even more Broadway across the Peloton platform.
