The new lower cost Tread has officially gone on-sale today in the United Kingdom. The Peloton website states that the first deliveries should begin to members on February 1st.
Four different Tread packages are available. The basics package (just the Tread & warranty) is £2,295. Tread Essentials is £2,570, Tread Works is £2,670, and Tread Family is £2,870. The other packages include varying amounts of other accessories like resistance bands, weights, earbuds, heart rate monitors, workout mat, etc.
The lower cost Tread was first officially announced in September, following years of speculation, rumors, and leaks about the product. Then in November, Peloton announced that the Tread would have a phased on-sale plan. The UK would launch first, with sales beginning on December 26th, with Canada & parts of the US on February 9th, and the rest of the US on March 30th. As of yet the Peloton Tread does not have an official on-sale date in Germany.
If you’re still debating whether the new Tread is for you, be sure to check out our hands on & first impressions, compared to the original Tread+. A few members of the UK media have been given early access of the new lower cost Tread, so reviews are starting to trickle out. The lower cost Tread has been available to demo in showrooms across the world since November as well, so there are a lot of members who have gotten hands on time with the new Tread – reviews seem to be fairly mixed about the quality.
