Becs Gentry to teach rowing classes as newest Peloton Row instructor

Peloton has a brand new rowing instructor – Becs Gentry.

This morning, Peloton announced that Becs Gentry would be expanding her responsibilities, and also begin teaching Peloton Row classes.

Becs’ premiere rowing class will be on Thursday, January 11th 2024 @ 7:30pm ET. This 20 min class will be live. (Note that in this case, premiere refers to it beings Becs Gentry’s first class on the row platform. Again, this is live – it is not a premiere on-demand class like “premiere” usually refers to these days).

The announcement was made via an Instagram post from Becs Gentry and Peloton studios.

In the video, Becs was reflecting several big life milestones she had over the last few years at Peloton. This included racing in the Olympic marathon time trials, running multiple races, falling in love, and having a baby.

She mentioned that through all the highs and lows, one thing had always remained the same – “You” (being the Peloton members).

Becs thanked everyone for the memories, and said there was noone like the Peloton community and she would be forever grateful.

She went on to say that she wouldn’t be true to herself if she didn’t embrace change, and that there was a new challenge she couldn’t say no to.

The camera did a quick cut, and Becs said “Wait – Don’t tell me you actually thought I would be leaving Peloton? No way.”

Becs then jumped into the strength studio, and announced that she would begin teaching rowing classes.

As shared above, Becs’ premiere row will take place live Thursday night. You can find it on the upcoming Peloton class schedule here.

At time of publishing, there is only one other Becs Gentry Peloton rowing class on the schedule. This will be a 15 min HIIT row, which will take place live on Thursday, January 18th @ 10:30am ET.

Typically, on the same day an instructor premieres on the Peloton platform, a few pre-recorded classes are dropped on-demand as well, so we’ll likely see a few Becs rowing classes added in the next few days.

At this time, it has not been announced if Becs will have a usual date and time for her rowing classes. We expect she will be added to the rotation of instructors teaching rowing classes with members on weekends now as well.

Becs Gentry is not the only new Peloton row coach expected. As we previously shared, Ben Alldis is also expected to teaching Rowing classes. Note that this announcement will likely be timed to whenever the Row is made available in the UK.
