“You Can Row” Program for Peloton Rowing Classes (Beginner)

With the release of the brand new Peloton Row (aka the Peloton Rower, or Peloton rowing machine), a number of new training programs were released. This includes the “You Can Row” rowing program.

Since many of those members picking up the Peloton Row are brand new to rowing, these training programs are designed to give members an introduction to rowing, and teach members some of the basics. This is a great program for beginners to rowing to take as they want to start taking Peloton row classes.

Peloton’s “You Can Row” training program is 3 weeks long, and starts with several short, introductory classes. By the end of the program, you’ll have worked your way up to a 30 minute row, and learned a lot of the foundation of rowing you’ll need for Peloton’s other rowing classes.

Once you have completed this program, there is also the “Perfect Your Pace Targets” program for the Peloton Row. This is another 3 week program that builds on what you learn in the “You Can Row” program.

Below, we’ll cover the details of the “You Can Row” program, as well as include a full list of classes that are part of Peloton’s “You Can Row” training program for the Peloton Row.

Originally, this program and these classes were only available to Peloton members who owned the Peloton Row. However, as of May 2023 Peloton’s rower classes are available on the app and to all members, so Peloton’s rowing programs are available to all members as well.

Here is the official description for “You Can Row” from Peloton: “Learn the basics in this 3-week program designed to show that You Can Row! Develop and refine good form as you gain confidence and build up to completing a 30-minute rowing workout.”

Peloton’s “You Can Row” Program Badges

It wouldn’t be a Peloton program without badges (you can always find a full list here). You can earn a Bronze badge for completing 8 classes, Silver badge for completing 12 classes, Gold badge for completing 15 classes out of the total 17 classes.

How to join the Peloton You Can Row program

At time of publishing programs can be joined from the Peloton Bikes, Tread, Peloton Digital app, or the Peloton website. Simply browse to the programs area, find the You Can Row program, and join the program. You can find You Can Row on the Peloton website here.

Note that as part of Peloton’s relaunch of programs, these classes are “locked” and only available as you progress through the program.
