Update – Peloton’s Yin Yoga classes are now available.
Peloton will launch a new yoga class format later this month. Per a recent “February Workouts to Watch” email, Peloton Yin Yoga classes will launch on February 21, 2023:
Yin Yoga focuses on stillness within the body, featuring a slow, steady-paced practice, along with deeper poses for meditative exploration. Launching 2/21.
Yin Yoga is a slower-paced style of yoga that involves holding postures for longer periods of time – perhaps 3-5 minutes or even longer. Many of the poses focus on the connective tissues and joints of the body. Note that this is different from restorative yoga, which focuses on relaxing and healing – Yin Yoga focuses on stretching and applying gentle stress to certain parts of the body.
It is currently unclear which instructors will teach Yin Yoga and how frequently the class format will be offered, but we will share updates as they become available.
Peloton has also not confirmed if the launch will be with live classes, or perhaps a Peloton Yin Yoga program that will drop on that day.
