New “Workout of the Day” Feature on the Peloton App & Web Browser slowly rolling out

Peloton is slowly rolling out a new feature on the app and web browser called “Workout of the Day.” Members may have noticed a new highlighted workout on their home page – though note that the feature is not yet available for everyone and is still rolling out to members.

On the Peloton app you can expect to see the feature below the “active challenges” section. On the web browser home page it’s located slightly further down the screen – underneath both the “active challenges” and the live and upcoming schedule block. Note that members may see the feature on their app but not their web browser and vice versa as it rolls out.

The feature highlights one particular workout for that day. Unlike most other classes displayed on the home page, the workout of the day does not display a date or time – just the class modality and instructor.

Upon completing the workout of the day it will display a “completed” icon for the remainder of the day, in addition to showing how many other Peloton members have also completed the workout.

Note that the class appears in your profile the same way all others do – there is currently nothing denoting that it was a “workout of the day,” and no badge awarded for completing it.

The feature first began rolling out at the end of June, and members who were the first to receive the feature have reported seeing new daily workouts since then. The number of members who have completed the workout each day has also been growing, indicating that the feature is continuing to roll out to additional members.

Thus far the workout of the day class selections have all been strength, yoga, and meditation – in other words, content that does not require a Peloton hardware device. These classes are also available to members who have the Peloton App One, the mid-level tier of Peloton’s recently announced app segments.

The new “workout of the day” feature is reminiscent of the “Your Daily Workouts” feature that launched on the app in 2022 – the key difference being that the workout of the day is one class that is recommended to all members instead of the personalized recommendations found in the “Your Daily Workouts” section.

If you don’t yet see Peloton’s new “workout of the day” feature, be on the lookout for it on your app and web browser over the coming weeks.
