Trance classes have officially debuted on the Peloton platform.
Two new Peloton trance classes – one in English and one in German – are now available via the on-demand library for all members to take:
- 60 min. Trance Music Ride – Erik Jäger – 1/30/24 @ 12:00pm ET [German]
- 30 min. Trance Music Ride – Charlotte Weidenbach [English] – 2/4/24 @ 11:00am ET
Erik’s first ride is in German, while Charlotte’s first Trance ride is in English.
Trance music is a brand new music genre for Peloton, and is a subset of Electronic Dance Music (EDM). Trance music is characterized by its pulsating beats, hypnotic melodies, and uplifting rhythms, and has long been associated with an immersive and euphoric experience. Peloton already has a wide range of EDM classes on the platform – such as EDM, House, Dance, Tropical House, Techno, and Drum & Bass – and the addition of Trance music marks an expansion of the genre into more specific subsets.
At the moment Trance is limited to rides; it remains to be seen whether Peloton Trance classes will make its way to other modalities, such as running or rowing, for example.
We first shared this new content was on the way last week. For now, the only instructors who have Trance classes available are Charlotte and Erik; however, there are many Peloton instructors who teach EDM classes, so Trance could expand to additional coaches.
Are you happy to see Trance classes added to Peloton’s music genre portfolio?
