Peloton “This Week at Peloton” Highlights new Pre-Ride Warm-Up Classes, FTP tests, and more for April 15-21, 2024

Peloton has spotlighted numerous classes via the weekly “This Week at Peloton” Instagram post covering April 15-21, 2024. As a reminder, both Peloton Studios New York (PSNY) and Peloton Studios London (PSL) are closed from April 15 through April 22 for their Spring Studio Closure; however, members can still expect new classes.

Many members may be pleased to see that Peloton is bringing back pre-ride warm-ups. Two new classes are available with Ally Love and Ben Alldis:

Pre-ride warm-ups are distinct from a warm-up ride in that they take place off of the bike, and include a number of stretches and dynamic movements to prepare the body for a cycling class.

Years ago Peloton consistently released new pre-ride warm-up classes; however, over the past couple of years the focus has been on warm-up rides. Moreover, many of the old pre-ride warm-up content has been removed as a result of Peloton’s weekly class library maintenance.

These two new classes from Ally and Ben – along with a German version with Erik Jäger released earlier this month – suggest that pre-ride warm-up classes are making a return to the Peloton platform. These classes can be found in the stretching modality in the on-demand library.

Then, there will be a new 45 minute Pilates class with Kristin McGee debuting on Friday, April 19 at 9:30am ET. This is part of Peloton’s ongoing Pulse Hour programming, which includes new barre and pilates content every week.

Next, there will be a new installment of Peloton’s Tag Team Row Bootcamp series. First announced last month, these two-for-one classes have Adrian on the rower, with a guest instructor teaching the strength portion of the class.

This week’s class will be a 20 minute Row Bootcamp: Core featuring Emma Lovewell, and will premiere on Wednesday, April 17 at 6:00am ET. One installment of the series remains for later this month with Andy Speer.

Finally, Peloton highlighted a new FTP warm up ride and FTP test ride with Christine D’Ercole, already available in the on-demand library:
