Peloton Studios Closed for Maintenance: No Live Peloton Classes From May 29 – June 4, 2023

Peloton has an extended closure coming up next week, with no live classes taking place.

Both Peloton Studios New York (PSNY) and Peloton Studios London (PSL) will be closed for an entire week, with no live classes taking place.

The studios will shut down starting on May 29, 2023, and remain closed until June 4th, 2023. This includes the Memorial Day holiday in the United States.

The official reason given for this extended time off is for studio maintenance.

This closure includes some of the weekend dates that members would normally be in the studios, but 4-5 weeks ago when the weekends opened up for class bookings, those dates were already removed and not visible for booking, indicating this maintenance has been planned for months.

While Peloton typically doesn’t share what the maintenance is they work on while the studio is closed, one area that might see an update is the running studio.

One a recent run, Becs Gentry shared that the sound system in the Tread studio was due for an upgrade soon, and that members in the studio would enjoy the improvements. While she didn’t specify when that upgrade would take place, it would make sense for it to happen during the extended down time.

Several instructors have shared on their social media that they will be taking vacations during this time as well, and taking advantage of the long break from recording live classes.

Peloton will be airing encore classes at various times throughout the week of the closure.
