Peloton is stepping up its game in the world of sports-specific training with content aimed at a new sport: basketball.
In a recent email, Peloton hinted at an expansion of its popular Strength for Sports series, with the addition of a Strength for Basketball program. This new offering is expected to target basketball enthusiasts and athletes looking to build the strength and conditioning needed to excel on the court.

The Strength for Sports series offers specialized strength programs for sports like running, skiing, and golf. These programs are designed to help athletes improve their performance in specific activities by focusing on the muscles and movements that are most important for those sports. Now, with basketball soon to be added to the mix, Peloton is broadening its focus and appealing to a new group of athletes.
Although the tease mentions that the Strength for Basketball classes are “launching soon,” the exact release timeline is unclear. The announcement was notably absent from the March edition of Peloton’s “Workouts to Watch” email sent yesterday, which highlights upcoming releases and class offerings for the month. This leaves some uncertainty about whether the Strength for Basketball program will debut in April, or if it simply didn’t make the March roundup but could still be released this month.
The program promises to deliver tailored workouts that emphasize strength, power, agility, and injury prevention – key components for basketball players at all levels. These classes are likely to be valuable resources for both recreational and seasoned players alike.
Peloton has not yet shared which instructors will be teaching their Strength For Basketball series, or if Peloton will tie this content into their bigger partnership with the NBA & WNBA. Earlier this year, Peloton created some NBA All-Star classes.

We will share additional updates on Peloton’s upcoming Strength for Basketball content as new details become available. Are you looking forward to these new classes?
