Peloton's Half marathon training program.

Peloton Half Marathon Training Program: Road To Half Marathon Classes & Collection

Peloton has officially released a half marathon training program, called “Road To Half Marathon.”

Peloton’s half marathon training program is 10 weeks long, with 52 classes in all (this includes some bonus stretching, strength for runners, and extra 10 classes they include as part of the collection). Without the bonus classes, there are 40 classes. All of the weeks of the program have 4 classes each week.

Update – This program has a dubbed German language version as well now.

There is even a 90 minute endurance two-for-one run taught by both Becs Gentry & Susie Chan, as well as a 120 minute endurance run taught by both Susie Chan & Matt Wilpers.

Just like Peloton’s marathon training program (Road to 26.2), it consists of outdoor audio-only workouts. However, thanks to a recent feature update that was added in April, outdoor audio classes can now be taken on the Peloton Tread. This means that you can do Peloton’s half marathon training plan either outdoors with your phone, or via a Peloton Tread or Tread+ (or any third party Treadmill). As a reminder the Peloton app can now pair to some third party treadmills via Bluetooth FTMS.

You can find the program on Peloton’s website here. Peloton’s Road to Half Marathon is described as:

Take your training to the next level in this ten-week program designed to build strength, endurance, and confidence. Inspiration meets information in guided Outdoor workouts that are also available on the Tread.

The Road to Half marathon program is loaded as a collection, instead of a program. This means members will have more flexibility in how they take the classes, and not be stuck to Peloton’s schedule as you are with regular programs – and you can pause your progress a few days if you want. As always, we have the list of classes in Peloton’s half marathon training program below, if you are curious what classes are included.

You can find details about any Peloton program here. This includes the marathon training program, as well as Peloton’s two different 5K programs: Road to Your 5K and Go The Distance 5K.

I absolutely loved the road to 26.2. The road to the half marathon has been a bit of a disappointment. There are the runs, but no guidance on what days to train and no supplemental weight workouts. I love the Peloton content so much, so was surprised at how the roll out of this felt rushed and not thought out.
