Peloton has expanded its referral program, allowing household members of primary hardware account holders to participate in referring new members.
This update means that beyond the primary All-Access account holder, other household members with active Peloton memberships can also refer up to six people per year, offering a potential boost in referral rewards for Peloton families.
This expanded eligibility is available to households with Peloton Bike, Bike+, Tread, Tread+, or Row devices, as well as studio and rental members; but not to Peloton App users, who remain ineligible for referrals.
As a refresher, Peloton updated the referral program back in 2021 to apply only to the primary account holder – i.e. the person paying for the monthly subscription.
This latest referral expansion appears to follow a holiday promotion from two years ago when Peloton also allowed secondary household members to participate in the referral program for a limited period. While Peloton hasn’t specified the exact end date for this promotion, it is likely a seasonal offer for the holiday period this year as well.
Update – It now appears this change is ongoing, and not a seasonal/holiday promotion, so now all active Peloton members (who have taken classes) associated with an All-Access membership are able to make their own referrals.
To determine whether you’re eligible, visit Peloton’s referral page at onepeloton.com/settings/referrals/equipment. If you see a referral link, you’re set to go; if you see an error message, it’s likely the expansion hasn’t been applied to your account, and you aren’t eligible.
Peloton’s referral limit remains at six referrals per person per year, so if the primary account holder has maxed out, other household members may still have opportunities.
