With Halloween over, much of the world is officially entering the “holiday season” – and Peloton is offering a guaranteed price match on the original Bike, Bike+, Tread, Guide, and Row in preparation for their eventual Black Friday & Cyber Monday sales.
Starting today, November 1, and running through November 28, Peloton will match the lowest price available on their hardware devices (through Peloton’s own sales), even if you purchase the device before their sale period begins.
Peloton sent an email to customers promoting the offer:
Skip the holiday rush and bring home Peloton Bike, Bike+, Tread, or Guide this season. Shop early with confidence with our Peloton-Offer Match Guarantee. If you see a better offer from Peloton now through November 28, contact our team, and we’ll match it.
The homepage has also been updated with a new banner, stating: “From now to Nov. 28, if you see a better offer from us on any Peloton equipment, we’ll match it.”
As of publishing time the price match seems to be valid in the United States and Canada; it is unclear whether it extends to the other markets of the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, and Austria.
There is also a dedicated Peloton support page containing all pertinent details and fine print. Note that the below items do not fall under Peloton’s price match:
- All Peloton purchases made via a 3rd party retailer
- Purchases made after November 28, 2023
- Accessories purchased a la carte, independently of a Bike/Bike+/Tread/Row/Guide
- Apparel found on apparel.onepeloton.com
- Refurbished Peloton Bike/Bike+
Most noteworthy, the price match offer does not apply if you buy from a third-party retailer such as Amazon or DICK’S Sporting Goods; the device must be purchased from a Peloton retail store, Peloton’s website, or via inside sales. In addition, the support page mentions that financing terms and limited edition products are excluded from this year’s price match.
Peloton won’t be price matching to third parties like Amazon or DICK’S. However, if you buy now from Peloton and and see a better offer from Amazon or DICK’S, you should be able to return the product to Peloton under the 30 day free home trial program, and buy it from the third party retailer.
Note that Peloton typically will unofficially price match to their own sales if you have purchased in the last 30 days – as with the 30 day free home trial program you could return it and just get it for the new price anyway. The November price match guarantee just makes the price match a little more explicit and guaranteed than usual.
Peloton held a price match guarantee in 2022 as well. If history is any indication, Peloton’s 2023 Black Friday & Cyber Monday deals may begin around November 13. In 2022 Peloton started out by offering a free accessories package with the purchase of a Bike, Bike+, Tread, Row, or Guide; but shortly after the initial announcement, Peloton effectively began offering a $300 discount on the Bike, Bike+, and Tread – plus threw in $300 worth of free accessories on top of that.
