Earlier this week Peloton announced they are expanding their partnership with Vitality, a United Kingdom-based medical insurance company. Peloton made the announcement via press release:
In 2020, we partnered with Vitality as part of its ‘Vitality at Home’ offering and provided thousands of Vitality members in the UK with extended free trial access to the Peloton App. Now we’re taking this one step further and launching a first of its kind partnership for Peloton in the UK, which will make it even easier for Vitality members to access our hardware and join our growing global community of 6+ million Members.
As of February 22, Vitality members are able to purchase the Peloton Bike, Bike+, or Tread and receive up to 40% cashback based on the total number of Peloton workout days they complete on a monthly basis. This could add up to as much as £630 for the Bike and Bike+, and up to £1,026 on the Tread. The cashback will be rewarded over a period of 36 months.
Both Peloton and Vitality provided statements as part of the release:
Cassidy Rouse, Global GM, Corporate Wellness at Peloton, said: “Peloton and Vitality share similar missions, which is to help people live healthier lives. We’re excited to extend our partnership by rewarding Vitality members for working out with Peloton. No matter where you are in your wellness journey – Peloton provides the best fitness experience that fits your lifestyle and fitness level.”
Nick Read, Managing Director of the Vitality Programme, said: “Over the last few years, we’ve seen a real shift in the way that people are choosing to exercise with more opting for flexible and accessible fitness, which they can access whether they’re at home or on the go. With this in mind, we wanted to offer something that speaks to this shift in behaviour, while also removing any barriers that people may face when it comes to keeping active. At Vitality, we are committed to helping people find ways of building exercise into their busy lives and we’re delighted to be deepening our existing relationship with Peloton.”
Vitality has updated their Member Zone with additional information.
Peloton has previously partnered with healthcare companies in the United States as well. Starting in September 2021, Peloton offered a free year of the Peloton App subscription, and four months free of the All-Access subscription, to United Healthcare members with certain insurance plans. Peloton also officially announced their corporate wellness program last summer, with participants such as Accenture, Nasdaq, Sky, Samsung, and SAP.
Interested Vitality members should access Vitality’s Member Zone for additional details on the partnership.
