Peloton pledges $1 million for free membership and extra bikes for hospitals & healthcare workers

Exercise and staying active can help improve your immune system and boost your mental health. In the times of COVID-19, both those benefits are becoming increasingly important. Now that most states have stay-at-home orders in place, having a Peloton at home is an effective way to stay active and keep your stress in check.

In response to the COVID-19 crisis, Peloton is pledging to help keep their coaches, members, and health care workers across the country healthy and active. In addition to canceling all live classes through April 30th, Peloton announced two other initiatives for the Peloton community.

In order to keep members active during uncertain times, Peloton is pledging $1 million to cover membership fees of bike or tread owners who have been financially impacted by COVID-19. If you have lost your income or need financial assistance, you can apply to have two months of your membership fees waived. Applications must be received by April 12th.

We are all thankful for the doctors, nurses, and other health care professionals who are on the front lines of the battle against COVID-19. To celebrate and support their hard work, Peloton is extending the Comeback program and donating 100 additional bikes to hospitals and healthcare workers. You can apply or nominate someone here. Peloton is also offering a free essentials package to healthcare workers who purchase a bike.
