Peloton’s nutrition content has officially kicked off this week – beginning in partnership with registered dietician Dr. Jaime Schehr.
The initiative began with posts on their social media channels, writing:
Say hello to @jaimeschehr ! 👏🏼 We’re so excited she’s teaming up with us to bring expert-driven nutrition content to life. Check out @onepeloton for our first recipe: Power Zone Oats, created by @mattwilpers and approved by Dr. Jaime herself!

The post included a video featuring Dr. Jaime and instructor Rebecca Kennedy as the two discussed various nutrition topics and “fun” questions. The clip describes Dr. Jaime as a “Peloton Nutritionist,” indicating that Peloton will be working with her on their nutrition-focused content.
Rebecca introduces the video by saying that a lot of members have been asking about nutrition – and how what you eats affects your body – so they have teamed up with Dr. Jaime to help create some of that content. They begin with a Q&A talking about things like the weirdness snack they’ve seen an instructor eat, a nutrition trend she would like to go away, a trend that people should start (she recommended eating fiber), and more.
The new content is starting off with a new series called “Peloton Kitchen” – which is available both via Instagram and YouTube. This new social media series will cover instructors’ favorite recipes for pre and post-workout; or for generally fueling their bodies for a variety of physical activity.

The first installment features instructor Matt Wilpers and a recipe coined “Power Zone Oats.” The caption read:
Welcome to the Peloton Kitchen! In this series instructors will be showing you how to make their go-to recipes for fueling their movement ⚡️
First up? @mattwilpers’s Power Zone Oats! Here’s why this recipe is approved by our Peloton nutritionist @jaimeschehr:
🌱 It’s packed with fiber (approx. 9 grams) from oats, seeds, and fruits
🥣 Solid serving of healthy fats from chia, flax seeds, and nut butter
💪 Approx. 50 grams of carbohydrates! After a workout your muscles are primed to absorb carbs to restore glycogen levels (helps with recovery)
🍴 Easy to meal prep and store in the fridge
The video shows Matt cooking and assembling the meal, along with on-screen indicators of ingredients and measurements. The video also displays key nutritional content with a message that the recipe is “approved by Peloton nutritionist Dr. Jaime Schehr.”
Matt asks members to leave comments with other recipes they are interested in seeing in future installments.
This new development ties back to Peloton’s previous indications at exploring sleep, rest, and nutrition; most recently through a Forbes spotlight on the company’s women leaders.
Nutrition in particular has been a topic that ignited a lot of member conversation and resulted in Peloton providing an additional statement and context regarding the matter. Part of that context was that this nutritional focus would be an extra area of content and not necessarily appear in Peloton classes, as Peloton realizes not all members are looking for this particular focus. This new Peloton Kitchen social series aligns with that clarification.
Last fall Peloton also unveiled a new class type in “post-meal walks” – outdoor audio-only classes designed to be taken after consuming a meal.
The launch of this new series on YouTube comes one day after Peloton added YouTube as an option on Peloton Entertainment on the Bike, Tread, and Row.
