Peloton Asking Members to Submit At-Home Bike & Tread Workout Videos

Peloton is asking members to film themselves taking Bike and Tread classes at home and submit the footage to the company.

Peloton posted the request in the Official Peloton Facebook Group on Wednesday, September 9, writing:

“Show us how you Peloton at home!

We love spotlighting our amazing Bike community, and we want you to be the stars. We’re looking for authentic, energetic videos of you enjoying your favorite rides right at home.”

In the submission form, Peloton says they are looking for self-generated content from both runners and riders and gives instructions for members using either a Peloton Bike or Tread.

Peloton wants footage from two different angles. The first is selfie-style, with the camera facing the member while they ride or run. Peloton encourages reactions to the instructor and other natural moments, including smiling, laughing, singing along, celebrating a milestone, pushing through a difficult section, or showing the post-workout reaction afterward.

The second is a wider shot with the camera positioned farther away, showing the member using their Bike or Tread within their home.

Peloton has several specific requirements and recommendations for the footage:

  • All footage must be filmed horizontally in landscape orientation
  • Use the highest resolution available on the device
  • Film in a well-lit space, ideally using natural light
  • Make sure both the member and Peloton hardware are clearly visible
  • Keep the camera stable and securely positioned for wider shots
  • Some natural movement is acceptable during selfie footage, but it should not be excessively shaky
  • Avoid heavy filters or overly staged setups
  • Avoid workout apparel with prominent non-Peloton logos, as Peloton says footage featuring clearly visible third-party logos cannot be used

Peloton emphasizes the landscape requirement in the instructions for both requested angles.

This is a different request from the casting call Peloton shared in late August. That opportunity was recruiting members for a professional brand photo and video shoot taking place in New York from September 14-18. Applicants submitted a 60-90 second self-tape as part of the selection process.

The new request does not involve applying to attend a later shoot. Instead, members are being asked to create and submit the at-home workout footage themselves.

Peloton made a similar request for member-generated footage in September 2025, when the company asked members to submit videos showing how their Bike, Bike+, Tread, Tread+, or Row fit into their lives for what Peloton described as a community-powered “film.”

There are some differences in the filming instructions this time. The 2025 request encouraged members to capture both horizontal and vertical footage and specifically told them not to film selfie-style while actively using their equipment. Workout footage was instead supposed to be recorded by another person or using a securely positioned phone.

This year’s brief requires every shot to be horizontal and specifically asks for a selfie-style angle while the member is riding or running, in addition to the wider view of the workout space.

Peloton has not said where the submitted footage will ultimately be used.

Members interested in taking part can read the full filming guidelines and upload their video through Peloton’s submission form.
