Peloton has launched a new partnership with Foxtel, an Australian pay television company. Approximately ten Peloton classes are now available to all Foxtel subscribers through their TV.
Note that these are video on demand classes, which means that accessing them will be different from logging into the Peloton App on your smart TV. They are essentially just videos that you can watch – you can’t log into your Peloton account or receive credit for taking the class. This is similar to Peloton’s partnership with Delta Airlines – which serves as more of a teaser with limited view-only library – vs. something like Peloton’s Sky Q partnership in the United Kingdom and Germany, which is an app users can log into to access the complete library.
Foxtel users should now see a new Peloton widget on their home screen, or you can also search for Peloton.
There appear to be two yoga classes, three strength classes, one HIIT cardio class, one stretching class, two sleep meditations, and one standing core strength class available via Foxtel. These are all class types that do not require any equipment and can be taken anywhere.
Foxtel also has a loyalty program called Foxtel First, and members of the program will be able to secure three free months of the Peloton App (the digital-only subscription) as an added perk of their membership.
