First Just Tabata class on the upcoming Peloton class schedule with Logan Aldridge.

Peloton Announces New Signature Cardio Series with Logan Aldridge: “Just Tabata” Classes

Peloton announced a new signature Cardio series with instructor Logan Aldridge called “Just Tabata.” The new series will take place weekly from March 5th through April 9th. Each week it will take place live at 6:00pm ET.

The first two classes are both scheduled to be 20 minutes long currently.

In a post announcing the new series, Peloton said:

It’s Just Tabata, a new signature series by @loganaldridge 🔥 LIVE weekly on Tuesdays @ 6 PM ET starting March 5 through April 9.

In the video, Logan clarified that this would be traditional tabata – which means 20 seconds of work, followed by 10 seconds of rest. He went on to say you would repeat that 8 times, which gives you a 4 minute block of work – which follows the textbook definition of Tabata.

He went on to tease some of the workout movements he might be including during his “Just Tabata” classes, which were:

  • Pushups
  • Burpees
  • Overhead Press
  • Tricep Extensions
  • Reverse Lunges
  • Squats
  • Bent Over Rows
  • Bicep Curls

The class description for Peloton’s first Just Tabata class with Logan Aldridge says:

“It’s Just Tabata! Transform your strength training by combining strength and conditioning movements with high-intensity tabata intervals. It’s 4 rounds, consisting of 20 seconds of work, followed by 10 seconds of rest, for a highly efficient workout.”

Logan also has a featured collection called “Adaptive Training” which includes both seated and standing adaptive strength classes, and three adaptive strength programs as part of Peloton’s collaboration with the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation. Visit Peloton’s Programs to find each of Logan’s adaptive strength programs. You can also find details for all of Peloton’s programs at our comprehensive list.

Cardio will become the third modality for designated Tabata-style classes, joining Cycling and Rowing. You can find Tabata rides and rows by filtering on class type, Intervals. If you’re wondering how tabata is different from HIIT & intervals, you can see more here.

Logan has got such a cool, great energy I do a few strength and cardio classes but certainly not regularly, like I want to. But I do love Tabata rides and the structure of it, so I’m excited to check these out!
